Hi, I have a rectangular shape head and really thick hair. RIght now my hair is long and boring. What cut would look best for me. I would love side bangs and layers! Also, any good hair salons that I should go to?

Hey, I suggest you don't get layers if your hair is already thick.. Really, people get all-around layers to add volume to their thin hair. Getting layers may just make your hair look poofy on the bottom and flat on the top because your thick hair would weight it down, and I'm guessing that is NOT the look you're going for. Face framing layers on the other hand would make your face stand out, so I would go for that.. and if your hair is past the point of thick, I would think of getting it thinned out a little, making it easier to work with. Side bangs would accuentuate your face too! Just make sure you end up with a thick bang starting a little further back on your head to make a statement.(Between your hairline and crown) If your bangs are too thin and you can see the skin of your forehead through it, get your hairdresser to make your bangs a little thicker. Actually the look you want is ideal for your face shape and hair type. People with long faces need to have their hair "broken up" or tapered in the front and thinned out with layers all around.

Side bangs are also great for making a long face appear more round. This is the exact cut I have, and it works wonderfully. It is surprisingly easy to care for, too!
