Shes coloured in the red and copper tones but did not like it enough to do it again. She has also permed her hair but it never stay's in long because her hair is so fine. I try to think of something but drew a blank. Thanks in advance for all your ideas.

My six year old daughter has SUPER fine blonde hair. I found that it helped to get it layered. Blow dry it upside down. Also, my favorite thing is . . . .it's like a hair straightener but it's called a wave. Looks so good!!!! And makes your hair soooo much fuller. And the best part is it only takes about 10 minutes each time you use it.

how about a croppy type style? it works best on fine hair. something with some texture in it. there's also a new perm on the market for fine hair. it's a texturizing perm and it only has one step to it. it's an ISO brand. and it doesn't smell too bad , either.

has she tried other products like a root boost? i like to use it on fine hair with a large round brush for volume.

I have super fine hair too. I know from experience that he best defense against fine hair is a good cut. The right hairstyle for her hair texture can make all the difference in the world.

Some hair products can help make hair appear slightly fuller, at least for a little while, and can help with holding a style in place, but there's no product out there for us yet, that can actually give us more hair.

okayy..well i saw this the other day on someone..all you have to do is learn how to do it..its called a dutch braid you start at your part and go down just above your ear and put your hair in a messy bun..but the part thats in the messy bun needs to be scunched and the braid goes to the bun..its looks really nice it takes like 10 mins....you can always straighten your hair..crimping and curling takes too long..well for make up just use some eyeliner, mascara, and light brown eye shadow..its looks naturall!%26amp;%26amp; really prettyy..and dont put blush or lipstick ect..maybe some clear lipgloss too=)

I would recommend side bangs because almost everyone has them and they are absoulutely fantastic.Layered cuts are absoulutely gorgeous and sexy but they have only a limited amount of ahirstyles to do because of the layers they are cut into.You can leave it straight with bangs so you can do many varieties of hairstyles including making it curly.Good luck. =)

comb your hair then french braid it. Leave it in braids all nite, and then in the morning unbraid it and put some mousse in it. This is great for long hair.

gurl, when i wear my hair half up and leave some down, that looks real good!! but if you got time, you should straighten or scrunch it all up. so tha hair that your leaving up, no matter what- just get it wet, scrunch it up then put it up in a messy bun!!! that will look so good!!!! or get your hair twisted in different ways, and leave it down all curly!!!but dont do pony tails- its too original!!! and dont get it all braided- maybee tha top, have it braided back and put it all up messy and cute!!! it depends what type of texture you have. If it is fine medium. then I would suggest maybe get some long layers tell the styist you want a 180 degree cut. this will give you the long layers with a little hight but not to much. On the color , I had medium length hair and I did something fun but not to wild. I had highlights done to a bright carmel about 3 foils in each section on the crown they did small chuncks then they came back and took some of the highlights and put a 7RR color on it it was a deep red but not to vibrent. I thought it was pretty awsome. you should try it.

get it razor cut so it's shaggy and just above your shoulders and get a couple layers too.....and then you could dye every layer a different colour. also, you could dye the front of your hair (DON'T GET BANGS!!!), i.e the long bits in the very front, that would be your bangs if you got bangs, like a very bright colour, like fuschia or yellow, or blue. or you could make the ends of your hair a weird colour, or streak it.....i-c-e coloured hair glue is very good for this, or get coloured mousse. that way you can put colour in any place you want. and if you're not haoppy with it, just wash it out, ice comes out with shampoo and water, mousse in a couple washes....

Try a new cut. Ask your hair stylist to give you a layered hair cut like 'feather' or 'steps'. This will add a volumized look to your hair. Tell him to add as many layers as he can.

Also, to give your hair volume, rinse it with beer. Trust me this really works wonders for me. Another goodie for hair is egg. Beat an egg (yolk and all) and apply it to your entire head of tresses. Keep on for 30 minutes, and wash off with your regular shampoo conditioner routine.

in CA, the hair is usually long, layered, side bangs, natural colored, highlighted and straight. try highlights or a lighter shade of brown. don't go crazy, it's not popular here at all!

Actually, electrolysis is perfect for you. It's the laser hair removal that won't work, as it will only target dark hair. But unless the hair is coarse, I wouldn't bother with the electrology either.

I have ash brown hair and I wanna jaz it up a bit by getting highlights and/or lowlights, I dont wanna put alot of blonde in it cause bleeching is so bad for your hair and it will take forever to grow back out when I dont like it anymore. Since you have brown hair with fair skin and blue eyes what I recommend is that you go blonde but instead of a drastic blonde what I recommend is a highlighted blonde. I would forget about the cap. Let your hair get wet and when you have finished swimming, use a good shampoo and conditioner to clean out any chemicals. I always do it that way and have no problems with my hair.

ok, as a swimmer, i had the same problem. get the pantene "clean" shampoo and conditioner. It washes all the clorine out and it works great!

Perhaps you are using the wrong conditioner.

I swim 3 days a week with no cap and, of course, no leave in conditioner. I have short permed hair.

I use a gentle, non-perfumed; shampoo. I rinse my hair thoroughly with plain water and then I rinse again with a mild vinegar solution ( about 1/4 cup vinegar to 2 quarts water) and I use a dab of Alberto vo-5 before combing gently.

I'm waiting for my appointment a few months from now I was just curious what could these symptoms mean:

I haven't had a period in six months and during that time I've gained weight rapidly (15 kg!). I'm much more hairy than I used to be (shaving is almost futile), especially facial hair.

When I did go for an appointment a few weeks ago I was told I had excess protein in my urine.

Any ideas? I'll know more when I go to my appointment but yet again I'm just wondering.

PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) usually runs in your family, ask an aunt if they share your same symptoms. What it is in a nutshell is an ovary that tries to produce and release the egg and it gets stuck and forms a cyst. Usually this causes little or no periods and if you try to get pregnant, well, you can't. Most women take some type of birth control to help regulate everything which helps your body control the testosterone some since it causes all the hair, weight, etc. Then someday when you want to get pregnant your Dr. will put you on Glucophage to control your ovaries and so you can ovulate. well, it could very well be PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) its a syndrome composed of Hirsurtism( abundant hair growth in face and genitals) weight gain, annovulation(meaning a woman doesn't ovulate) and Amennorreah ( not having a period for over 6 months, also you can have Hypothyroidism which makes you gain weight and lack of period. Excess protein in your urine may mean you probably have something wrong with your kidneys, I suggest going to an endocrinologist . Goodluck, and hope this helped.

Try using a setting lotion on your hair. Once heat is applied to the hair it makes your curls kind of stiff, if you dont mind your hair being a little on the stiff side. But it holds up really well, and should last all day.

for firmness when you curl your hair either before or after you curl

and it should work great.never use mousse it's garbage for sraight hair it;s more for permed hair.

You should seek a shampoo and conditioner that curls your hair and then roll up your hair while it's still wet. Apply a generous amount of heavy spritz to your hair and then dry it with a hair dryer. Sleep with the rollers still in your hair, and then when you wake up the next day, unroll it. The curls should last much longer.

Ok, so my hair is a golden brown color right now, and i'm thinking about putting a rinse in it (not a permanent). iwant my hair to go from the golden brown to a copperish red/ brown. last time i tried this, using a auburn rinse, it turned my hair green. My hairdresser told me to stay away from auburn and ash colors. Any tips????

Go back to your hairdresser and have her/him do it properly!!

If you want to do it yourself, go to the store and check the color swatches on the side of the box. Find an original that is very close to your color and the final result shows close to what you want!!

Just remember the colors on the boxes only 'approimate' what the end result will be. The health of your hair will be a big part in getting to that color.

If you are outdoors all the time in the Sun or swim regularly in pools (chlorine) these have a profound affect on your hair and as such will affect the final result. Is your color natural or is it 'boxed', that too will affect the final result.

Whatever you do, make sure you give yourself a good hair conditioning regularly to help the hair from damage caused by everyday stresses like Sun. Day to day stresses can affect the chemical make-up of your hair including drugs (even the prescribed drugs).

to find something that fits you best you should look at hair magazines. The Euro ones have the styles that aren't very common. But if you are looking for something more trendy try and American one. You can look at a book store and if you find a cut u like , buy the magazine and show your stylist.

Redken's Smooth Down shampoo and conditioner may help. It will moisturize your hair and help with some of that frizz. Also try a hot oil treatment.

when you dry your hair with a hairdryer do not put it on a hot setting also use a large radial brush to pull the hair when drying, take the hairdryer down with the brush when drying. when you have finished drying blast your hair with cool shot on your dryer then straighten with flat irons give your hair another blast with the cold shot on your dryer. then put on smoothing serum. i have to do this all the time and it does work

All I do is apply olive oil before i wash my hair, use a good shampoo and conditioner... It works realllllly well... I used to have horribly frizzy hair some years back, but they are pretty cool now. I have the exact same problem. The best straightener to get is a Wet 2 Straight. Even if you use it when your hair is dry, it will still work SOOO good. There are all kinds of cremes and gels that straighten hair. I use John Frieda Fizz-Ease (you can get it at Wal-Mart. It's in a glass bottle with a dropper in it. If you rub that through your hair while it's still slightly damp and then straighten it with the Wet 2 Straight, you will have hair that is super straight. Good luck, I feel ya on the whole frizzy hair thing!

I got this WONDERFUL hair straightener, it's a wet 2 dry straightener, like $25 from walmart, and i use a thermasilk product specifically for heat-treated hair. Spray a little on while your hair is still damp, and then use the flat iron to straighten that piece. Don't part your hair in the middle, it's unflattering. And side bangs, they'd look really good on you. A little mascara, no need for eyeliner like your friend over there. Definitely keep a natural look going. The whole black eyeliner and intense colored eyeshadows aren't for everyone.

the parting doesnt do it for you so try just gripping- bobby pinning your hair back -or a side parting.

You definetly need mascar- brown would be better than black since your quite pale- and a thin line of brown eyeliner- light lipcolour would be great too- lipgloss or lipstick. Lipstick stays on longer and would make you look older.

Try a little bit of black mascara...dont do eyeliner just yet. Also, use a little bit of blush and maybe a bronzer? For your hair...straighten if and part it to the side. on the side with the most hair take a little from the front of your hair and twist it bakc and clip it. Simple and cute!

ok, with your hair, i would suggest getting a fringe cut in, some choppy layers put all the way through and possible getting some blonde foils or streaks put through it, to give it more volume and shape and deifinition.

with makeup, i would recommend smokey eye makeup, alot of greys and blacks, and a good volumising mascara, you have beautiful blue eyes and you need to flaunt and define them as much as possible, and you seem to have fairly smooth skin, so maybe just a tinited moisturiser instead of foundation

Last time I was going to die my hair, a woman came down the same isle and saw me holding a box of hair dye. She told me she had used that exact product and that it turned her hair bright orange and she had to go get it professionally fixed. I was scared to die my hair after that, but now I think I am ready. Does anybody have any ideas for semipermanent products?

Temporary or semipermanant is great for trying out darker shades or different colors, but neither one of those will take your hair LIGHTER. The chemicals in them arent strong enough to lift the color out of your hair. I would go into a salon and ask them to apply a semi-permanant color to you and they can formulate and assist you in achieving the color or hue you desire. Pay a little extra to get what you want without wasting your money to get what you dont want!!

Honestly, i always get it done professionally. It is more expensive, but it's worth it. A colorist can tell you what color and shade will work best for your skin tone. Some times it's worth spending a few extra bucks!

I would suggest seeing your hairstylist first. Each product reacts differently with everyone. For example, I am a med. brown normally. But I have to choose a lighter brown in order to make any difference as when I color, I usually go much darker. Feria is a good product and I've used it serveral times over the years. Do not use a permanent color. Try something that will wash out after 2 months or so. And this too is different. Those wash out types seem to stay longer in my hair than the box also suggests and I wash my hair at least 5-6 times a week.

Natural Instiinct i think its called- by Clairol. I does wash out after several months. I use permanent L'Oreal. No pink or red or blue ever happened but it has to grow out.

A round face looks best with face framing layers, this helps give "angles" and take away from the roundness - and this can be with any length of hair. Having side-swept bangs - part is on the side - is much more slimming than having a center part which can make your face appear even rounder. Also, building up volume on top will help lengthen your face - i.e. having layers that are ear length will help boost volume.

If you have tight curls, it might not be a good idea to go too short because it will just make your hair look "poofy" - do you want to look like Napolean Dynamite? But if you have "ringlet" curls that are loose and kinda has that "bed head" look which is very in right now, then go a little shorter - think Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City where she had the short-ringle-bob going on.

Best advice - go to a good salon and take the time with a stylist who can determine, and help you decide, what a good change would be. It could be something as simple as long-layers, shortening the length, changing your part from the middle to a side, or changing from one side to the other (believe me, this can make a huge change - and will throw off your whole equilibrium too!).

Pull it through straws with a crochet hook, then rubber-band the ends so it stays. It's easier to do if you cut the straws in 1/2 first. Way extravagent!

Another one to try if your hair is long enough - put a Nerf ball on top of your head, then gather your hair up and over it, banding it at the top, then curling and fluffing the ends. The hair hides the ball. You use a Nerf ball because it's light. The look is kind of like Dr. Seuss meets Barbarella!

I've seen some good ones...love crazy hair day. My niece used a hanger stretched out across her head and made braids around it so she looked like Pippi Longstocking with her braids sticking straight out from both sides of her head.

Don't part your hair in the middle, it's unflattering. And side bangs, they'd look really good on you. A little mascara, no need for eyeliner like your friend over there. Definitely keep a natural look going. The whole black eyeliner and intense colored eyeshadows aren't for everyone.

well i have thick hair, but it is to my shoulders now, since i cut it, and it is very naturaly curly. What i do is i use garnier fructise curling spritz gel, it helps define your natural curls, and i use a dryer with a difuser all the while scrunching my hair with my hands and fingers, on the hard curls. it helps give it more body, and everyone always compliments my hair. Or most of the time, i just use my straightener, and my hair is so shiny, straight, people love my hair both ways. she really has a blessing, cause she can wear it both ways. i used to hate my curly hair, now i love it.

Do not use Pantene Pro-V because you will never be able to curl her hair again. Try using Tre-semme. The moisturizing one. Use the shampoo and conditioner and then you can style it with the gel or mousse. Also I never blow dry my hair because when you have fine hair it ruins it to blow dry. Only do it if you have too. A cute hairstyle I do is take half of her hair like a half ponytail and make it into pigtails. Then use a waver over all of her hair.

I am very tired with the way I wear my hair. I always wear it straight, unless its raining, then I wear it curly, cause I have naturally curly hair. My hair is a few inches above the middle of my back, with side sweep bangs, and many layers. I do not like my hair in a ponytail of any sort, so that will not work. I really like the Victoria's Secret models hair, but I dont have rollers and I dont know how to get that hairstyle(if i need rollers, what kind?). So can you please help me think of more hairstyles. use catwalk porducts and a heat protectant

first put the heat protectant moose in your hair by grabbing your hair in sections with the moose in your hand

do the same thing with the scrunch spay

keep them there for a while so you hair will dry a little ( ohh yeha start this with your hair wet... not too wet but wet)

Then take them out and spray a little more scrunch spay in there and grab handfuls

I really need some help because I usually wear my hair naturally, but I wanted to change it up because it's the last major high school "thing" and I really want to look my best. See this could be tricky. You have to take into consideration the length and width of these kinky twists. Honestly, if it were me I would part the front with pretty zigzags and/or designs and pull the kinky twists into bantu knots. And leave the back out with medium sized twists. Maybe some pretty diamond jewels in the front to dress up the knots and parts. You don't necessarily have to do an up-do to be elegant. To me, it's all in the way it is parted and dressed up with accessories!
