Any ideas on how to get rid of facial hair bumps?

My boyfriend is having a real problem with his facial hair curling under the skin and bumping up. He has tried so many things. I've been looking for a barber who may still shave men with a straight razor. I thought this may help but I can't find one. This is driving him crazy? Any ideas woould be great!

shave in the same direction as the hair grows. it might be different all over the face. and use a new razor each time. you might need to shave more often , but if it gets rid of the bumps it's worth it.

i do straight razor shaves; but you might have to go to an older barber to find someone who will do it for you.
