Any ideas for styles while I'm growing my hair...?

I do hair, but I'm at a loss for ideas. I have had a pixie cut for about three years and I'm FINALLY starting to grow it out...a little. I won't let it get any longer than my chin because that's just not me. The thing is, my once cute pixie cut is now about three inches long all over and I can't decide how to wear it. I do keep it trimmed monthly, but it's naturally wavy/curly and tends to get puffy. Does anyone have any cute pictures or ideas on how to style it while it's in this awkward stage???

I like puting a small braid on one side of my head toward the front. it looks really cute! Or just do a few on the top layer of your hair!
