Green eyes,light skin,want new hair color,im starting from brown,getting away from black any ideas?

I have dyed my hair black over and over for the past 5 years.I have finally managed to grow most of it out to my original color (medieum brown).Now some of the under side is still black.I wanna know of any ideas for a color for my brown hair that would still look nice with the black.I have brown eyes but my contacts make them green,I have fair skin with olive undertones.I don't think I want to go lighter on my hair,so does any one have any ideas for store bought color?If you cna tell me the brand and the name of a color that would be great also,if not it ok.I have always used nice and easy when dyeing my hair black.But it doesn't matter.

To enhance the green in your eyes and with light skin tone. definately go to the reds. Start by adding just some red hightlites in brown hair and add more as you are comfortable.

I think you will like it there are so many shades of reds. You do not have to look like a carrot top. An auburn or ginger would be great.

i don't dye my hair so i don't know brands, but what about something with a little red in it. i think it is called auburn or something. or maybe like a richer darker brown?

wow you were probally exotic looking but if you want brown its going to have to take a process go to the salon if you do it your self you could mess up but if you chose to pick a brown color that you like and get 1 shade lighter then the color you like

Get a warm chestnut brown.

My wife is the same eye color and complexion. She did a brown with chestnut highlights. It was beautiful!

I have light skin and green eyes and I have had my hair black for a long time (with blood red highlights) and have also had my hair every color you can possibly think of. Although right now I am a blond, I think the that the best color for green eyes and pale skin is a red. I had my hair a fiery red and it looked awesome, the only stipulation is that red tends to fade quite quickly and eventually turns a blondish color. I kinda like it because I got several different hair shades for the price of one but many people want it to stay one color. However if you want to maintain darker hair, perhaps going a reddish brown or maybe just a chocolate brown so you can maintain the dark hair color but not have to worry about the hassles of stripping your hair or waiting for it to grow out like with the black coloring. It would also help cover up and blend in with the black that still exists with your hair...Like I said I had my hair black when I was younger and then it was actually (chocolate brown) when I had the deep red highlights so perhaps that is an option too if you want to try something a little different and keep it matching with the black. I used to go to a professional to get my hair dyed but if you do try an at home color dye, I would go for either Herbal Essences or Clairol. Good luck and remember even if you do dye your hair and you don't like the results, its only hair and can either be dyed over or grown out and its never permanent :)

I have similar skin and eye color. I love when my hair is a red - auburn color. Not the really bright red but more on the red-brown side.

Try "French Roast" by L'Oreal Feria. I love it and have been using it for several years. It's a darker rich colored brown with hints of auburn when you're in the sun, and it will blend well with the black you already have left.

dark and lovely red hot Mary is nice and also Cinnamon if your not looking to go light either color would go good with your complexion and eye color and will off set your natural color
