Hair needs volume...products, tips, ideas?

My hair is super straight and fairly thin. It doesn't curl worth a s**t. I've just been trying a few different volumizing products and wanted to know if anyone knows any good products I could try. Something thats not $50 a bottle. I'm not rich. I will spend money on good product, but not crazy tons. Also, any ideas on getting it to be a little wavy? Thanks in advance!

Get your hair trimmed regularly...my hair always gets flat when it is damaged at the ends. Try conditioning your hair BEFORE you shampoo; if you condition after you shampoo, don't condition the roots. Conditioner can weigh down your hair.

More important than the product that you use are the tools and methods you use to style your hair. Blow dry your hair with a round brush, section by section, starting with the bottom sections and ending with the canopy of your hair. Curl the brush around, lifting your hair away from your head and curling it under.

Don't use a dryer on high heat; heat (shower, blow dryer) takes moisture away from your hair and makes it look limp.

Don't use more than one product on your hair (and dont' use too much of it) or it willjust weigh your hair down.

If your hair is really long consider cutting some length off or layering it...talk to your stylist about a good cut to add body...it can make a world of difference.

Good luck.

if you have some layers put into your hair it will be easier to add volume. i use Tigi bedhead superstar blowdry lotion. Tigi products smell really nice it might be worth looking on ebay to buy there products at a cheaper price.

here's there website which has some tips on how to style hair

Also with having layers you can scrunch your hair after you've washed it to add waves, my hair never used to take curls until i had it layered.

Also have a look on you tube as there should be some good advice on there, (i look on there for simple things like how to add fake eyelashes and apply certain make up etc....)
